LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TOWN OF PUTNAM, NEW YORK
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Putnam will hold a Public
Hearing on May 14, 2026, at 7:00 PM to consider the adoption of a proposed Local Law entitled
"ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION OF HILLSIDES AND SHORELINE AREAS". The purpose of this proposed Local Law is to protect environmentally sensitive areas surrounding Lake George and Lake Champlain and is not intended to regulate land use or establish zoning districts. The hearing will be held in person at: Putnam Town Hall, 14 Putnam Center Road, Putnam Station, NY 12861 & ZOOM. A ZOOM link will be made available on the Town of Putnam Website prior to the meeting. All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard at the aforesaid time and place. Written comments may also be submitted to the Town Clerk at townclerk@townofputnamny.com or by mail to POB 95, Putnam Station, NY 12861 no latter than MAY 11, 2026. A copy of the proposed law is available for public inspection at the Office of the Town Clerk during regular business hours.

2026 RABIES CLINIC
JUNE 10, 2026 AT 6:00PM
Available to the cats and dogs of the residents of Putnam. To receive a three year rabies certificate you must show proof of a vaccination with a one or three year rabies certificate that is not expired for more than 30 days. Dogs must be licensed. A license may be purchased on the day of the clinic. Altered dogs are $6.00, unaltered dogs are $15. Appointments can be made by calling the Town Clerk at 518-547-8317.
**If you need a copy of proof of vaccination from a prior rabies clinic in Putnam, you MUST call at least one week PRIOR to the clinic to have your certificate looked up and verified. Certificate copies will not be provided the day of the clinic.
